Would a Website Video help?
Maybe and maybe not. Not quite what you expected?
Would someone who made it all the way to your website be served greater by being able to familiarize themselves with your product through a helpful video and would that help them?
“Would this be helpful to someone?”
No longer should we think “how can I make someone watch my video and use propaganda to make them buy”. Instead I think, “Would this be helpful to someone?”
If a video doesn’t simply SELL Sell SELL! but genuinely helps someone - Maybe this is necessary. Upon the note of whether this is or is not helpful, here are some stats that reflect a customers’ journey.

Here are 3 things to ask yourself if a video is needed.
Should I create piece of content to “automate” or help with the amount of human time it takes to answer or assist with this question regularly?
Is video the best option? Video will help with search rankings and is genuinely more engaging but sometimes an intelligent graphic at the right time and place is a big help as well.
Truthfully, would a video be helpful here?
I believe these three questions would help lead you to a yes or no. For myself when building content created to get attention, I always want to at least pair with an animated graphic designed to illustrate a point and get attention. Truthfully I pair these will blog posts like this current post(very meta I know). The reality is it does not help my ranking with Youtube which has acted as the world’s second largest search engine and not everyone likes to read blogs. When creating blogs I am thinking of targeting the most likely person to use my services. If you have a younger demographic that you need to target, they might be less inclined to read a blog and they might simply try to search out a video to help guide them instead.
As a bonus question ask yourself, would I search for this on Youtube? Maybe that alone can lead you to the answer you’re trying to find out.
These three [four - :) ] questions will give you a much better idea of how to make an informed decision and to decide whether or not a website video would help gain trust with potential customers and simply set you up to sell more.
